You are not required to provide all personal data described in this Policy. However, if you do not provide data required for account registration, device pairing, security, or requested features, we may be unable to provide some or all Services.
Please note: our Services are not intended to be used by minors under the age of 16, or such other age provided by applicable law in your country or region of residence, and we request that such individuals do not provide personal data to us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a minor without appropriate permission from a parent or legal guardian, we will take steps to delete that information. Parents or legal guardians may contact us at privacy@mearitek.com if they believe a minor has provided personal data to us.
Personal data means information that identifies, relates to, describes, can reasonably be associated with, or could reasonably be linked to an identified or identifiable individual or household.

We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, mobile SDKs, log files, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, maintain login status, improve security, analyze service usage, diagnose crashes, and improve service quality.
These technologies may collect device identifiers, IP address, App version, operating system, browser type, pages or screens viewed, timestamps, click events, crash data, diagnostic data, and approximate location. Where required by law, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies, SDKs, or similar technologies.
You can manage cookies through browser settings and App-related analytics or diagnostic settings through in-app privacy settings where available.
We may send you service communications, including account security notices, device alerts, doorbell calls, motion or sound alerts, firmware update reminders, subscription reminders, service change notices, customer support replies, and legally required notices.
If you disable push notifications at the operating system level, you may miss real-time alerts or device notices, but core account and device management functions will generally remain available.
We do not disclose personal data except as described in this Policy or with your consent. We may share personal data with the following categories of recipients:
Where a recipient acts as our processor or service provider, we require it to process personal data under our instructions and to apply appropriate security measures. Where a recipient acts as an independent controller, its own privacy policy may also apply.
CloudEdge operates globally. Personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries or regions other than where you live, including the United States, the European Union, Singapore, and other locations where CloudEdge, its affiliates, service providers, or partners operate.
Where personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland is transferred to a country that has not been recognized as providing adequate protection, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law. These safeguards may include the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, transfer risk assessments, encryption, access controls, and supplementary technical and organizational measures.
You may contact us using the details in Section 19 to request more information about the safeguards used for international transfers.
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. The periods below describe our typical retention rules. The actual retention period may vary depending on your device settings, cloud storage plan, deletion requests, backup cycles, legal requirements, security needs, and dispute resolution needs.
| Data Category | Typical Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Account data | Retained while your account is active. After account cancellation or deletion, user account data will be deleted or anonymized within 14 days, except data that must be retained for legal compliance, security, dispute handling, backup recovery, or fraud prevention. |
| Device binding and operation logs | Device binding logs are retained for 80 days. App operation logs relating to device-related settings are retained for 45 days. App request logs generated when the App requests server services are retained for 80 days, unless a longer period is required for security investigation, troubleshooting, legal compliance, or dispute handling. |
| Video, audio, images, and cloud recordings | Retained according to your device settings, local storage settings, cloud storage plan, subscription period, and manual deletion choices. If no cloud storage or recording feature is enabled, we do not retain cloud recordings for that feature. Where cloud recording is enabled, retention follows the purchased or selected storage duration, unless deletion, security, legal, or dispute requirements apply. |
| Analytics and diagnostic data | Diagnostic logs, crash logs, and service event logs are generally retained for up to 12 months, then deleted, aggregated, or anonymized, unless a longer period is needed for security investigation, service stability, legal compliance, or dispute handling. |
| Legal and transaction records | Retained for the period required by tax, accounting, consumer protection, contract, and legal limitation rules. The period may vary by jurisdiction and transaction type. |
When personal data is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to backup and disaster recovery cycles.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. These safeguards may include encryption in transit, encrypted storage for certain data, access controls, authentication, logging, network security, vulnerability management, employee confidentiality obligations, and vendor security review.
No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential, using strong passwords, updating your App and device firmware, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable legal limitations, you may have rights to:
You may exercise rights through the App, account settings, or by contacting us using the details in Section 19. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification and proof of authorization.
The Services are not directed to minors under the age of 16, or such other age provided by applicable law in your country or region of residence. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without appropriate parental or guardian consent where required.
If we learn that we have collected personal data from a minor in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or guardians may contact us using the details in Section 19 to request access, correction, or deletion of a minor's personal data.
For users in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or the United States, if parental consent is required for Services offered directly to a child or minor, we will obtain parental consent where required by applicable law.
We may use automated processing for security detection, fraud prevention, device event classification, notification rules, and analytics. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you unless we notify you and provide safeguards required by applicable law.
The following sections supplement the general Policy. If there is a conflict between a regional section and the general Policy, the regional section applies to users in that region to the extent required by law.
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the rights described in Section 12, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance our interests against your rights and freedoms. Examples include maintaining security, preventing fraud, improving Services, and sending limited non-intrusive service-related communications. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already performed before withdrawal.
If you are located in the EEA, you may also contact our EU Representative listed in Section 19 regarding matters relating to our processing of your personal data.
For U.S. residents, this section provides additional disclosures under applicable state privacy laws. Depending on your state, you may have rights to know, access, confirm processing, delete, correct, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale of personal data, opt out of certain profiling, limit use of sensitive personal information, and appeal a decision.
CloudEdge overseas currently does not sell personal data. We also do not knowingly sell personal data of consumers under 16 years of age. We may disclose personal data to service providers, processors, affiliates, analytics providers, and other recipients described in Section 8 for the purposes described in this Policy.
You may submit privacy requests through the App privacy controls where available or by contacting us using the details in Section 19. If we later introduce any processing that requires an opt-out mechanism or universal opt-out signal support, we will provide the legally required mechanism and process applicable signals in accordance with law.
